The amendment rezones land surrounding the Eaglehawk Landfill and Transfer Station from General Residential Zone to Neighbourhood Residential Zone, Schedule 2, applies the Buffer Area Overlay to land within 500 metres of the landfill and 250 metres from the transfer station, amends the Municipal Planning Strategy and Planning Policy Framework to insert new policy relating to buffers, inserts a new Schedule 2 to Clause 32.09 to recognise the existing character values and environmental constraints of land within close proximity of the landfill and transfer station, inserts a new Clause 44.08 (BAO) and Schedule 1 (BAO1) to manage the risk of potential off-site landfill gas migration within 500 metres of the landfill and Schedule 2 (BAO2) to manage the risk of elevated off-site odour impacts within 250 metres of the transfer of food and organics and the storage and mulching of green waste at the Eaglehawk Transfer Station and amends the Schedules to Clauses 72.03, 72.04, 72.08, 74.01 and 74.02 to make operational changes.
