Amendment C050 (Melbourne)

The amendment substitutes in the table to the schedule of Clause 52.03 and Clause 81 the Incorporated Document titled Melbourne Docklands Area Planning Provisions February 2001 with the Melbourne Docklands Area Planning Provisions September 2001. The purpose of this amendment is to facilitate the development of two landmark sites (Towers 5 6 and 8 Yarra s Edge) within Yarra Waters precinct Melbourne Docklands marking the Flinders Street and Collins Street axis at a height exceeding the current development module plan. This requires a revision to the planning controls applying to the precinct reflecting changes to the development module plan and a modified planning and design framework for Docklands as a whole.

Your next step if this rezoning affects you. Submissions are how the decision-maker hears from the community.

  1. 1 Rezonings happen through planning scheme amendments under the Planning and Environment Act 1987. The council exhibits the amendment and invites submissions.
  2. 2 Make a written submission to the council during the exhibition period, stating whether you support or oppose the amendment and why.
  3. 3 If unresolved submissions remain, they are referred to an independent planning panel, where submitters can be heard before the council decides.
