Amend the Municipal Strategic Statement at Clause 21.03-4 and include a new Clause 21.03-4-1 that outlines the strategic directions for flood plain and urban and rural drainage management. Introduce the Floodway Overlay over those parts of the Shire delineated: - on the former Department of Natural Resources and Environment s Flood Planning maps as floodway| - in the Myrtleford Floodplain Management Study Sinclair Knight Merz December 2000 as floodway and additional floodway| - in the Harrietville Floodplain Management Plan Geo Eng Australia Pty Ltd 2001 as 1% flood delineation (1 in 100 year average recurrence interval) on the west side of the Ovens River| and - in the Upper Ovens River Flood Study Earth Tech July 2004 as floodway area. Introduce the Land Subject to Inundation Overlay over those areas of the Shire delineated: - on the former Department of Natural Resources and Environment s Flood Planning maps as land subject to inundation| - in the Myrtleford Floodplain Management Study by Sinclair Knight Merz December 2000 as land subject to inundation| - in the Harrietville Floodplain Management plan Geo Eng Australia Pty Ltd 2001 as 1% flood delineation (1 in 100 year average recurrance interval) on the east side of the Ovens River| and - in the Upper Ovens River Flood Study Earth Tech July 2004 as land subject to inundation area. Introduce the Special Building Overlay over those areas of the Shire affected by overland flow and delineated on the former Department of Natural Resources and Environment s Flood Planning maps as land subject to inundation. Introduce schedules to the Floodway Overlay and the Special Building Overlay. Delete the existing schedule to the Land Subject to Inundation Overlay and introduce a new schedule.
