Amendment C006 (Towong)

The amendment proposes to make the following changes to the Towong Planning Scheme. Introduce a new strategy into the Municipal Strategic Statement relating specifically to flooding and drainage| Introduce a new policy in the Local Planning Policy Framework in respect of floodplain and rural drainage management| Replace the existing Floodway Overlay with a new FO over those parts of the shire delineated on DNRE s Flood Planning maps as Floodway| Introduce the Lane Subject to Inundation Overlay over those areas of the Shire delineated on the DNRE s Flood Planning maps as Land Subject to Inundation (i.e. likely to be affected by 1-in-100-year flooding)| Replace the existing Schedule to the Floodway Overlay with a new Schedule to specify buildings and works that are exempt from the requirement to obtain a Planning Permit| Introduce a new Schedule to the Lane Subject to Inundation Overlay to specify buildings and works that are exempt from the requirement to obtain a Planning Permit.
