Amendment C458ggee (Greater Geelong)

The amendment updates the Greater Geelong Planning Scheme to correct obvious and technical errors, including correction of outdated clause number references in zone and overlay schedules that were inadvertently overlooked as part of the Planning Policy Framework translation Amendment C417ggee; correction of references to the date and title of the Central Geelong Framework Plan - A plan for the heart of Djilang (2023) in Schedule 1 to Clause 37.08, Schedules 38 to 45 to Clause 43.04 and the Schedule to Clause 72.08, which was incorrectly inserted by Amendment C431ggee; and various corrections within Clause 11.03-6L-04, Schedules 18, 26 and 47 to Clause 43.02 and Schedule 24 to Clause 43.04. The Schedule to Clause 72.08 is also updated to include the omitted Geelong Ring Road Employment Precinct Urban Design Guidelines (2010) as a Background Document.

How to object or make a submission

Your next step if this rezoning affects you. Submissions are how the decision-maker hears from the community.

  1. 1 Rezonings happen through planning scheme amendments under the Planning and Environment Act 1987. The council exhibits the amendment and invites submissions.
  2. 2 Make a written submission to the council during the exhibition period, stating whether you support or oppose the amendment and why.
  3. 3 If unresolved submissions remain, they are referred to an independent planning panel, where submitters can be heard before the council decides.

General information about the public submission process, not legal advice. Confirm the current process and deadlines with the council or the official source before acting.
