Amendment C160 (Greater Geelong)

Rezones the land from Farming Zone to Schedule 12 of the Special Use Zone (SUZ12) to facilitate an expansion of Chemring Australia Pty Ltds (Chemring) Lara Energetic Materials Manufacturing Plant (LEMMP). SUZ12 requires the approval of a development plan which will exempt the expansion of the LEMMP from planning permit requirements in the Greater Geelong Planning Scheme. The development plan will allow for a maximum gross floor area of 30,000 square metres and an overall height of 15 metres above ground level.
