Amendment C038 (Darebin)

Introduce vegetation protection controls for the land formerly known as the Mont Park Psychiatric Hospital currently known as Springthorpe and located south of Main Drive and east of La Trobe University Bundoora| The controls will require planning permission for the removal or lopping of identified significant vegetation. The controls are based on the recommendations of an existing tree survey and arboricultural assessment that forms part of the Mont Park Development Plan Existing Tree Survey and Arboricultural Assessment. Include the Springthorpe Tree Conservation Plan Stage 2 as an Incorporated Document into Clause 81 of the Scheme which identifies trees that contribute to the landscape of the site and trees with high retention| A permit will be required to remove destroy or lop any tree or shrub identified on the plan.
