The amendment implements a comprehensive review of the Wangaratta Planning Scheme through the following planning scheme changes: - rezones land throughout Wangaratta Rural City to various zones - applies the Development Plan Overlay 1(Residential 1 Zone and Township Zone) to land on the northwestern side of the Wangaratta urban area - applies the Design and Development Overlay 1 (Wangaratta Central Activities Area) to land in the Wangaratta Central Activities Area (Mackay Ovens Murphy Faithfull and Chisholm Streets) - applies the Significant Landscape Overlay1 (Warby Ranges) to the Warby Ranges area extending from the Glenrowan area to the northwestern extent of the municipality - applies the Public Acquisition Overlay 1 to land north of Docker Street between Ovens and Mackay Streets Wangaratta - applies the Development Plan Overlay 2 to land on the south side of the Mason Street Wangaratta - applies the Development Plan Overlay 1 (Residential 1 zone and Township Zone) to land on the southeastern side of the Wangaratta urban area - applies the Development Plan Overlay 1 and 2 to land zoned Township and Low Density Residential in the Milawa and Oxley townships - applies the Vegetation Protection Overlay 2 to various roadsides throughout the municipality
