The amendment is to provide a critcal supply of residential land within Ararat, which is currently in short supply. Pursuant to Section 96A of the Planning and Environment Act 1987, to issue a planning permit for subdivision of land as proposed in planning application No. 1678 and the rezoning of the same land. The land is located on the north west edge of Ararat township. It is located to the north of Wattle Crescent and to the south west of Western Highway.
