Amendment C001 (French Island and Sandstone Island)

Introduces the Rural Conservation and Farming Zones into the French Island and Sandstone Island Planning Scheme and rezones all land in the Environmental Rural Zone to Rural Conservation and all land in the Rural Zone to the Farming Zone. The Environmental Rural Zone and Rural Zone are deleted from the Scheme.

  1. 1 Rezonings happen through planning scheme amendments under the Planning and Environment Act 1987. The council exhibits the amendment and invites submissions.

  3. 3 If unresolved submissions remain, they are referred to an independent planning panel, where submitters can be heard before the council decides.
